A show that traces the origins and tradition
‘Raíces Flamencas’ is an online flamenco show that traces the origins of the purest flamenco. A return to the deepest sounds, with the flamenco guitar, castanets and the seguiriya as protagonists.
This fusion forms a set of rhythms and cadences that show the importance of certain elements. The guitar, a string instrument based on flamenco and whose ripping is part of the idiosyncrasy of this art. You can delight yourself with versions of The Concert of Aranjuez or Romance Anonymous.
The flamenco castanets, marking the beat with a percussive sound that delves into the deepest emotions. Enjoy the art and elegance of Soleá de José playing this instrument. It is pure elegance. It will hypnotize your hand and arm movements while you play the catapoulos, which makes them part of your body.
The seguiriya, also called seguirilla, siguiriya or siguerilla, is one of the oldest flamenco styles. Its drama will surround you throughout the show. With a sober character of “a lot of complaints and little lyrics” it will immerse you in the deepest part of flamenco. Let yourself be carried away by the singing of the “ayes” (ay, ay, aaaay). You will be ignored by the mastery and skill of the shawl movement, an essential complement to the interpretation of this flamenco dance.
‘Raíces Flamencas’ is a new look at history, at our legacy. It is the most traditional combination of cante, dance and guitar, a commitment to the central axis of the deepest flamenco.
On stage, seven artists of race will leave their feelings for you to know and live up close the origins of our culture. A tribute to the deep. A return to the origins. It is ‘Raíces Flamencas’.
